Style Idol: Mila Kunis

So as you all know, I spent Valentine’s Day as I would any normal day. EXCEPT: my boyfriend gave me the privilege of choosing any movie at Redbox I wanted!! SCORE. There was one exception – I wasn’t allowed to pick anything I’d already seen. (Yes, I am guilty of watching movies over and over, until I memorize ever word. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t watch their favorite chick flicks over and over???)

ANYWAY. I hadn’t seen a good chick flick in a while, and I may have been super late on this bus, but I chose ‘Friends with Benefits.’ I was a little hesitant considering I’ve seen ‘No Strings Attached,’ and I couldn’t imagine the plot line was much different. BUT I figured I’d take advantage of my opportunity to watch it.

For the record, I’ve ALWAYS loved Mila Kunis, and I’ve always thought she was drop dead gorgeous. But on good old V-Day, I fell in love with her all over again.

I was lovvvvving all of her clothes, her hair, her make-up, and her large eyes. I couldn’t get over it.

Here are some still shots from the movie, with some of her lovely outfits:

This is such a simple outfit, but I love the skinny jeans and the nude pumps. Her purse is adorable as well. Her and JT look so cute together.

Her beachy outfit. Love her side pony with the watch and the white lacey shirt. Adorableeee.

The morning after her 5th date (if you’ve seen the movie, you know what I’m referring to). I rock simple outfits like this ALL the time, simple shirts with denim shorts. Perfect for summer in AZ.

Business casual Mila. I would LOVE to own this dress. I could totally see myself in it for work. Nude pumps again. loooooove.

Another simple and casual outfit. Love the bun, and the plaid shirt, with denim shorts. I LOVE HER STYLE.

Maybe  because it reminds me a bit of mt own style, and she has such a cute little frame. She carries it so beautifully. And she’s hilarious. If I ever had a lunch with famous friends, she’d be invited.

365 Project: A daily dose of KevenJacobs

Helloooo friends ❤ So today, I received a very hateful message from a girl I don’t even know. Here is what it said:

ust because someone took photos of you with a good camera, does NOT make you a model. I’m literally considering posting your photo for a pro-anorexia site. Being skinny is attractive, but having ZERO boobs, ZERO ass, and tiny chicken legs with a bloated belly isn’t hot. Quit being ridiculous and get over yourself

I don’t know what posses people to say such mean things. I’m going to address the message she sent now. I am not trying to be a model, I’d like to be a writer. And I think I’m very talented, and headed in the right direction to do just that. I am very aware that I am thin, and super tiny. I’ve always been that way. I do NOT have an eating disorder, and I KNOW full well I have chicken legs. Sue me.

I’m more than content with my body. It’s completely natural and I’m so thankful that I don’t have to try very hard to maintain what I was given. I eat what I want, and I don’t hit the gym on a regular basis. So hate me?

I do have my flaws, but I think it’s sad that someone had to point them out to me.

I’ll add a few to her list:

One of my sides is curved more than the other. I have a slight muffin top. I’m too pale. I dislike my elbows. And sometimes I wish the space between my shoulders and breasts had less fat. I have a double chin if I try hard enough. My bottom teeth are crooked. My eyebrows are uneven, and I tend to get razor burn. But I DON’T CARE; because I know I’m beautiful.

The fact that she had to point out my flaws for me shows me how ugly SHE is. We all have flaws, but that’s what makes us human, and who we are.

So my message for today, is love yourself just the way you are. Your flaws are beautiful too.

True Beauty

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries or the way she combs her hair.” – Audrey Hepburn

While I completely agree with Audrey Hepburn on this one, there’s something satisfying about taking pride in your appearance. Beauty isn’t all about one’s outward appearance, but taking care of yourself, and taking the beauty inside yourself, and reflecting it on the outside is important too.

I think the most attractive quality in a person is their confidence, and I think it’s a good thing to know how beautiful you really are.

So, I try to take care of myself, so that I can be confident, and so that my outward appearance does reflect the person I am inside.

Today, on my day off, I’ve decided to primp. So here’s a few home remedies I use when I want to make myself a bit more radiant:

I’ve been noticing my skin hasn’t been looking too radiant lately, probably because I’ve been so lazy, and haven’t been washing my face before bed… YIKES. So I’m going to use a home remedy that I use every once in a while.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • uncoated aspirin
  • pure honey
  • water

Simple as that. So you put a few drops of water on the aspirin, so that it dissolves. Crush it up. Then warm up a few large drops of honey in the microwave, but make sure it doesn’t get too hot, because you don’t want to burn your skin…obviously.

Mix the honey with the powdered aspirin, and put the mixture on your face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse off.

The aspirin will clear your pores, reduce any redness you have, and act as an exfoliant to clear off any dead skin cells. The honey is moisturizing to balance out any drying out from the aspirin. Great home remedy!

I’ve also been noticing that my teeth aren’t as white as they used to be and they could use some brightening up. I did a little research and found a home remedy with baking soda. It’s probably going to taste disgusting, but hey, sometimes beauty is painful.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A teaspoon of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • Water

First, put the baking soda and salt into a small cup. Then add a bit of water, to create a paste… sort of like toothpaste. Brush your teeth with the paste. Make sure to rinse your mouth with water.

Okay, this is undoubtedly going to gross a few of you out. It’s something I only do once in a blue moon, because I ABSOLUTELY hate mayonnaise. Even on sandwiches. It’s disgusting.

But it really adds moisture to dull and dry hair.

What you’ll need:

  • Mayonnaise.

That’s it. Just take a glob of mayonnaise, lather it through clean hair, dry or damp. Leave it in for about an hour, then wash your hair thoroughly. Trust me, it might be better to wash it twice. Wouldn’t want any leftover mayonnaise in your hair. Gross.

I have noticed that whenever my hair’s looking dead, from using too much product, or straightening it on the daily, or washing it too much, that when I use this, it livens it up a bit.

I hope these tricks work for you, the way they work for me 🙂
